Mantra chanting
Singing kirtan
Welcome to the heartbeat of the Pure Yoga community where sangha unites and connections are nurtured.
Once a month we gather in person as a community with the shared intention to focus our energies and unite as one voice to create a positive sound healing field within ourselves, our Whanau & the wider community.
These events combine mantra chanting & kirtan - two powerful ways to express ourselves and hold space for others.
Here's a bit more about what we anchor into and dont worry no experience is needed to join us.
This mantra (Maha Mrityunjaya) holds the power to shift physical & mental states and strengthen positivity. Chanted through the ages it still holds its potency for us today. This is chanted 108 times followed by uplifting kirtan - collective singing of mantras.
Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra Lyrics in Sanskrit and English.

About Kirtan
Chanting & singing mantras through kirtan connects us to a sense of that which exists beyond the grip of the senses and ever changing states of the mind. It's not necessary to be a good singer or to try to understand the mantras at an intellectual level. The best experience can be had by just being open and receptive to the waves generated by the mantras. Immerse in a positive wave and let go of unnecessary concerns. Explore the power of mantra, awaken your voice and connect with a community of positive and uplifting souls.
Check out the Kirtan Circle for other events.
